Henry Ford Trade School Physics Course book from 1934. According to The Detroit News, May 2, 2004 (http://apps.detnews.com/apps/history/index.php?id=217), Henry Ford “believed that the American worker had lost the use of his hands and his trade school would teach the boys to use their hands as well as their heads, just as Henry Ford had taught himself to do.” He opened his first Trade school in 1916 with with six boys and one instructor.
By 1931 the enrollment had risen to 2,800 with 135 instructors.
